Treatment approach
As a counselor my goal is to help adolescents understand and overcome the underlying causes of their struggles. I work with individuals using a blend of educational and therapeutic techniques. I offer compassion, encouragement, humor and empathy as a means to build individuals self-efficacy, confidence and resilience. I work to establish a meaningful therapeutic relationship based on respect, engagement and trust. This relationship provides students with a safe space to explore their stressors and to move forward despite barriers.
My role is to offer support and to act as an educational resource to help clients understand their emotional distress and to help them engage in positive behavioral changes.
Parent Consulting
As an educator, counselor and parent - I understand that parenting is one of the hardest jobs you will face. Many people experience a shift in their identity when they become a parent. Embracing this new role is hard and like all new experiences, there is a steep learning curve. Many parents struggle to find a balance between the needs of their family and their own self-care. Learning to set boundaries, manage your adolescents big emotions, and balancing social pressures is daunting. Parents are often burnt out and emotionally drained. As a result they might not the parent they want to be. As a consultant I can help you adjust to the challenges of parenting, navigate your child's emotional needs and find greater balance in your life.


Student Focused Support
I use a strength-based, relational approach in order to support my students, to build their confidence and self-efficacy. By working together, students will learn coping skills, build greater social connections and identify personal strengths so that they can choose a healthier, more resilient path.
My role is to offer new insight and direction so that behavioral change is possible. If psychiatric disorders are present a alternative treatment may be necessary.
